Our Work › Environment
The air we breathe is part of the cure.
IAS recognises the urgent need to address the health of our air and the environment in which we live. With the adoption of "Saahns" — an Urdu and Hindi word meaning "Breath" — as our name, we affirm that a healthy relationship with our environment enhances the quality of breathing for all.
Raising public awareness, 2019–present
Passionate about increasing public awareness and improving our environment, Dr. PK continues to deliver lectures on indoor and outdoor pollution: their sources, their impact on health, and potential strategies and solutions for mitigation. Outdoor pollution is primarily caused by human activity and includes sulfurous and photochemical smog, the effects of extreme weather, increased mould levels, and higher airborne pollen counts. Air pollution is a silent killer to which children are particularly vulnerable.
