Since 1987 our volunteer physicians and educators have organised free clinics, trained the next generation of allergists, pushed for cleaner air, and published research that raises the standard of care.
Free Clinics
Praana — Sanskrit for "breathe for life" — is our flagship, now a registered trademark in India. Since the first clinic opened in 2017 at Mysore Medical College, the network has grown across multiple Indian states and into Nepal and Barbados, offering free consultations, skin testing, spirometry and medication.

Education
From the Diploma in Allergy and Asthma (DAA, since 2006) with Christian Medical College Vellore, to the Fellowship in Allergy, Asthma and Immunology at AIIMS Rishikesh, our formal programmes have trained nearly 4,000 physicians, with hundreds more reached through CMEs.

Environment
IAS runs public lectures on indoor and outdoor pollution — "Womb to Tomb" — and has supported tree-planting at AIIMS Rishikesh, affirming that a healthy environment is inseparable from healthy lungs.

Research
Our leadership has co-authored two major textbooks and published editorials in Clinical and Experimental Allergy and the Journal of Paediatric Pulmonology, and built the 1,500-physician Allergy-Asthma Network of India (AANI).
