On July 28, 2025, at their 43rd annual convention, the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) presented Dr. PK with the Most Distinguished Physician Award. Recognizing the contributions of his dedicated wife, he accepted the award along with Mrs. Kamala at the convention held in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Dr. PK Vedanthan was invited as the Guest of Honor at the White Coat Ceremony for the incoming medical students of the 2026 batch. Dr. Srinivas, Director of AIIMS Delhi, was the Chief Guest. At the ceremony, 120 physician-students were inducted into the first-year MBBS. The ceremony was conducted in the AIIMS auditorium and was attended by faculty, residents and fellows-in-training, as well as medical and nursing students. The function ended with the National Anthem, followed by high tea.

Dr. Vedanthan, along with Drs. Sitesh Roy and P. A. Mahesh, conducted a day-long allergy workshop at the NAPCON 2015 meeting in Jaipur, Rajasthan.

Dr. PK Vedanthan delivered the coveted Dr. Shivpuri oration at ICAAICON 2014 in Mysore. Dr. Shivpuri is honoured as the Father of Allergy in India for his original contributions in both clinical and basic (aerobiology) fields. He established the ICAAI at Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute in Delhi. The topic delivered by Dr. Vedanthan was titled “Past, Present and Future of Allergy in India.”

Dr. Vinay Mehta and Dr. Pudupakkam K. Vedanthan delivered a three-day allergy and asthma seminar in Yangon, Myanmar, co-sponsored by Rotary International, Friendship Force International, and Myanmar Compassionate Hands. Free allergy and asthma camps were subsequently held in Bago and Bagan, where more than 200 patients received counselling and free consultations.

An Allergy Asthma Awareness Camp was conducted at Vithal Child Institute, Dharwad. Eighty children were evaluated. Dr. PK was assisted by Dr. Matti and his two colleagues, Mrs. Kamala, Mr. Ravi, Mr. Guru, as well as a host of nurses and office staff.
A Song for the Earth
A heartfelt tribute to Mother Earth, written and composed by Kamala Vedanthan. The song celebrates the beauty and abundance of nature and the many gifts we receive from the Earth. It reminds us that our lives, the lives of all living beings, and the world around us depend entirely on nature. Through its meaningful lyrics, the song expresses gratitude, reverence, and a deep connection with Mother Earth. The special effects for the video were created by Ranjani Vedanthan.
